About Me
Playwright, writer, and digital essay/documentary maker.
I consider myself a writer who likes to cross boundaries. As a writer, I've enjoyed the challenge of blurring the lines between genres and have taken great pleasure in melding essay and poetry, historical fiction and creative nonfiction, and fusing traditional writing with media: digital essays.
Digital essays are filmaking for the writer, combining the writer's words and voice with images and sound, which bring personal voice to a new intensity, thus adding another layer of exploration and reflection to a genre that is already deeply invested in investigation of the personal. Samples can be found on my vlog, Finding Alice.
Currently, I'm working on a new series of plays, some of which will incorporate digital essay, as well as continue to slow walk through the writing my memoir, Book of Taos.
